We are eager for ICS participants to experience some of the local culture and will include a Tuesday evening musical concert at the beautiful St. Louis Cathedral in the heart of the French Quarter. The extra-cost Thursday banquet will be at Mardi Gras World on the banks of the Mighty Mississippi River, with a walk through the den where floats are built and stored for more than 40 parades each year.
The 2016 ICS International Carbohydrate Symposium has support from the American Chemical Society's Division of Carbohydrate Chemistry, the Division of Cellulose and Renewable Materials, and the Louisiana Section. ACS Conference Management is handling many of the logistical details. However, the ICS is in the tradition of all other ICS meetings held internationally every two years, with its own unique organization.
